I wanted to do my part to support the important work and mission of the NINR and FNINR.

The ability to work with people and their families.

About Lea Ann

Lea Ann Matura, PhD, RN, FAAN is Vice Chair and Associate Professor in the Biobehavioral Health Sciences Department, School of Nursing at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Matura is a symptoms scientist whose research has been funded by the National Institute of Nursing Research. She is interested in designing and testing conceptually based symptom management strategies to improve symptoms in chronic illness. She is currently the principal investigator for a randomized controlled trial testing cognitive behavioral therapy and light therapy to treat insomnia and fatigue in chronic illness.
